SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE REQUIRE
• Experience in the frontend / backend development, system integration and migration
• Experience with Front-end languages and tools eg. HTML/CSS, Javascript including at least one of the frameworks like Vue (preferable), React, Angular, jQuery, Bootstrap
• Experience with Back-end languages like Java SpringBoot, Python
• Understanding of Database concept – with the focus on common database systems like MySQL, Oracle and SQLServer
• Full working proficiency in English
• Excellent communication skills
OPTIONAL/NICE TO HAVE
• Experience of CI/CD configuration and implementation
• Experience of engineering tools such as Jenkins, SonarQube, Nexus, Ansible
• Experience on DevOps processes and Agile methodologies – Scrum, Kanban
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with Splunk

ABOUT THE PROJECT
Digital Business Automation (DigiBA) are a global function with over 250 staff in 12 countries. We are responsible for defining and implementing the strategy for a number of critical scheduling and workload automation products across the organization, as well as ensuring their availability, recoverability and security.
This role will be part of a Global Task & Process Automation POD responsible for delivery of APIs, automation and improvements for the underlying infrastructure and processes owned by DigiBA i.e. workload automation tools IWS, Control-M, CA7 and automation software OpsMVS, Automation Point.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead the design and coding to build the end to end solutions.
• Understand functional requirements and scope and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Provide the task and process automation capabilities to facilitate DevOps and Agile practices both internally and externally.
• Hands-on development of application on medium/large scale critical platforms
• Able to initiate the project foundation and deliver the core/critical logic in the project
• Adhere to HSBC policy, procedures and control requirements applicable to day-to-day working
